  • Artist’s Statement

Alina Hayes is a WA based painter of still life and the natural environment. Alina feels intellectually and emotionally drawn to the process of crafting an objective and truthful representation of the real world based on her own scrupulous observations of life. The objective is to create a recognisable, yet enigmatic narrative to allow the viewer to connect it to their own personal feelings and experience.

  • Biography

Alina is a full time painter living and working in the South West region of Western Australia. She graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Murdoch University in Perth. Alina’s career in the creative industries spans over a decade, having worked as a fashion and jewellery designer before eventually discovering her passion for fine arts.

  • Influences

I draw inspiration from my immediate environment. I take notice of all the fascinating shapes, colours and textures of the minerals, vegetation and the scenery around me. All this visual nourishment gets translated into my vibrant paintings.
