Heidi Lai
Artist’s Statement
Heidi Lai, a Sydney-based oil painter, showcases a unique style influenced by her Hong Kong upbringing. Amidst the fast-paced city life, she wonders if people may neglect the present moment. By silently observing human interactions and surroundings, she captures life's essence in her paintings. Dark hues and bold strokes convey motion and evoke vague memories. Through everyday subjects, her works connects with our emotions, building deep resonance.
