Artist’s Statement
My artwork explores how our relationship with the Australian landscape is mediated through tourist imagery such as postcards and other souvenirs. I enjoy toying with the conventions of these materials - playing with the scale of figures and objects, or isolating them completely on a blank background. Biography
Maz is an Australian artist who lives and works in Sydney. She studied at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW and Sydney College of the Arts. She is a two-time Sulman finalist and winner of the Waverley Art Prize in 2017.
