ARTIST SCHEDULE

Vist STAND, as Ben brings unwounded natural beauty into the everyday, with the live painting of a new work from his onsite studio. This new painting will feature his signature, realistic imitations of moss growth on rock formations, all situated within an intimate composition that highlights the awe of the natural landscape. 

All works exhibited at the fair will be available for sale onsite. New works created over the fair weekend that require finishing touches will receive complimentary shipping or in gallery pickup after the fair. 

ABOUT BEN

Ben Liney is an Australian artist working on the lands of the Yalukit-willam. Seeking inspiration from explorations across the country, he takes a rigorous approach to bring new visions of place, depicting minimal scenes in an intimate realistic form.

Working in oil painting, Ben Liney explores the unwounded beauty of the landscape and how it can carry out the hidden work of life within us. With a focus on rock forms set against an open background, distinct details of the natural world are revealed in order to invite a conversation of the landscape into our everyday.

”To arrive in these landscapes is to become aware of a great stillness. A stillness that has sat through all time and if we come into this stillness we may receive a sense of the endless knowing these rocks hold.”

Ben Liney has exhibited across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in various group shows and held his debut solo show in 2023.
