LLAEL MCDONALD

PLENTY

16 – 28 NOVEMBER
Opening Night: 5-7 pm 16th November

Featuring 24 paintings, this new collection is again dedicated to the quiet beauty that Llael finds in her choice of subject matter – fresh produce. Painted in her signature Dutch masters inspired style, Llael’s paintings present moody compositions where light and the promise of narrative re-animate her chosen objects all the while hinting at memory and the nostalgic. Just cracked eggs, sliced red onions, and olive oil accompanied by cauliflower, all appear waiting to be transformed into hearty dishes, ready for sharing and enjoyment.

Keiran Gordon’s solo exhibition ‘Floral Nihilism’ aims to express the relationship between weightlessness and intensity; reflecting on those fleeting pleasurable feelings which are never wholly contained. Keiran’s sculptures feature marks and shapes that are an exploration into a mythology of colour, presenting an attractive and passive invitation not unlike a flower. SIMON PALMER

PARALLAX

3 – 15 AUGUST 2023
Public Opening Reception: 5-7 pm 3rd August

Simon Palmer’s solo exhibition explores the relationship between pure abstraction and a simplified representation of landscape. Using bold colours and distant stylized views, these paintings originate in a series of smaller studies that are then reformatted and reinterpreted as larger graphic works. They reflect an alluring sense of place and time that is simultaneously identifiable and ambiguous.

PHOEBE STONE

AT THE TABLE

18 MAY – 10 JUNE 2023
Public Opening Reception: 5-7 pm 18th May

The kitchen table is described by many as the heart and soul of the home and for Phoebe Stone this couldn’t be more true. When Stone picked up her oil pastels in 2020 it was at this table. It felt right for this solo show that Stone should celebrate this much loved table, almost a family member in its own right, and the beautiful scenes that dressed it during these first months of 2023.

Pull up a chair and join us at the table.

BEN LINEY
