High Tide is an exploration of the unique experience so many share with the ocean, from coast to coast, around the country. Always seeking our next visit to the water’s edge, captivated by its vast beauty, we’re curious and attracted to this ever changing, precarious landscape.

Time at the water offers an escape from our day to day life and we enter this new realm where we get to indulge in things that we don’t usually consider back in the ‘real world’. It’s a magical place, and we are transfixed.

We allow ourselves time to sit back and relax, an opportunity to stop and observe our surroundings. Sparkling water and curling waves, hot pink swimsuits and little secret caves. It’s a total feast for our senses, we can never have enough.

The beach reveals a childlike playfulness within us, eager to explore the landscape. Alison Lester’s book, Magic Beach, encapsulates that whimsical quality of the beach. Albeit a children’s book, the story relates to all those who have spent time by the water.
