Sarah Smith is a self-taught, Orange-based artist who works predominantly in still life watercolour painting. She draws inspiration from the simplest of creatures, living things or everyday objects with the belief that it is often these little things in life that mean the most to us.

Sarah’s work displays a rather unique and rigid watercolour style brought about by a mix of fine watercolour brush strokes. In painting in this manner, Sarah highlights the quiet characteristics of her chosen subject matter, such as the shadow cast by a Magnolia, or the delicate remaining crumbs of a cake once shared with loved ones.
